About the Company

The Agency for Light Industry Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan is the government body responsible for the sector — from yarn and fabric through to finished garments and textile goods.

Its task is to connect domestic manufacturers with buyers at home and abroad, make procurement transparent, and give the industry a single digital place to do business with each other.

The project

We built a working trading platform for the sector — not a shop window, but a system that carries a deal all the way from finding a supplier to placing the order.

What the project covers:

  • Product catalogue — categories, units of measure, product variants, characteristics, attributes and per-variant stock
  • Product constructor — a manufacturer assembles a listing from attributes and variants without waiting on a content manager
  • Company profiles — certificates, production gallery, team members, industry, region and the supplier’s average response time
  • RFQ — requests for quotation with per-line attributes: the buyer describes what they need, suppliers answer with a price
  • Cart and orders with line items and history
  • Built-in chat between buyer and supplier, with files and attachments inside the conversation
  • Reviews and comments with photos and ratings
  • Favourites, notifications and a company dashboard

The interface is translated into Uzbek, Russian and English — the platform is built for the domestic market and for foreign buyers alike.

Conclusion

Before the platform, procurement in light industry ran on personal contacts and messenger threads: a buyer had no way of knowing who else made the fabric they needed, and a manufacturer never came into view of the larger customers.

The request, the supplier’s answer, the negotiation and the order now live in one place and leave a record. For the agency it is also a picture of the sector: who produces what, in which region, and how quickly they respond.
