About the Company

MyLiga’s customers are Uzbekistan’s national sport federations — karate, muay thai, kurash and others. Each maintains a register of athletes, awards grades, runs championships and collects tournament entry fees.

Until now that ran on paper forms, spreadsheets and cash: entries were taken on site, fees collected on the day, and the start list assembled by hand the night before.

The project

We built an app and a platform where the federation keeps its sporting register and an athlete enters a tournament and pays the fee from their phone.

What the project covers:

  • Athlete profile — passport details, region, date of birth, sex, weight category, the grade awarded and when, and the link to their coach
  • Tournaments — date and start time, venue, map location, number of tatami, sport programmes and age categories from 8 through to 18+
  • Entries and invitations — an athlete enters on their own, or a coach or federation invites a named participant
  • Payments — one-off entry fees and renewing subscriptions, collected through Payme and Click
  • Grade plans — the award programmes and each athlete’s progress through them
  • Phone-number sign-in with a one-time code, no password
  • Push notifications for tournaments, entries and payments
  • Federation news inside the app

The interface runs in Uzbek, Russian and English.

Conclusion

Entry fees are no longer collected in cash on the day and start lists are no longer assembled by hand: the entry, the payment and the draw by age and weight category come together on their own, before the tournament opens.

The federation gets a current register of athletes with their grades and coaches; the athlete gets their competition history and a receipt on their phone.
